We’re hiring a Sr Growth and Communications Specialist

We just had our biggest year in donations raised towards super effective charities totaling over $5.39 million dollars in 2025. At RC Forward our mission is to help Canadians support the best charities that save the most lives per dollar and we have set a hairy ambitious goal of 3000 lives saved in 2030 alone which roughly translates to 17 million dollars raised to super effective global health projects for the year. In the same year 2030, we would also like to raise 6 million for super effective animal welfare projects. We’re a small nimble team of two and this next hire will be a crucial part of the team that will make it happen. You will get the opportunity to help grow RC Forward and effective giving into a household name in Canada.

To scale this impact, you will lead growth through strategic outreach and data-driven donor acquisition. You will be responsible for managing digital campaigns, testing new growth channels, and refining our messaging to resonate with the Canadian market. Working directly with our small team, you will build the systems needed to turn these ambitious targets into a reality.

Location: 

  • Remote
  • At least 4 hours of overlap with Vancouver 09:00 to 17:00. Exceptions can be made for exceptional candidates

Compensation: 

  • Salary: 80,000 – 97,000 CAD
  • Benefits: Up to 2,000 deducted from the salary in HSA account for Canadian employees

Job Description:

  • Devise and execute strategies for growth in donations from Canadians to effective charities
  • Manage and compose digital newsletters and/or digital campaigns
  • Owning the website copy to ensure brand consistency and SEO optimization

Requirements

  • Track record of success: You’ve successfully convinced people to sign up, buy, or donate in the past.
  • Clear writing: You can explain complex impact data in plain English that moves people to act.
  • Experimental mindset: You have deep experience in conversion rate optimization, with proven results
  • Mission-aligned: You are genuinely excited about evidence-based giving and helping donors maximize their impact.

Bonus points if

  • Web programming: You can write code to perform growth hacking experiments
  • Public relations: You’ve gotten mentioned at top-tier media
  • Social media: You’ve managed social media accounts leading to increased conversions or engagement
  • SEO & GEO: You’ve grown traffic from SEO, more bonus points if it’s GEO
  • Canadian: You have lived experience working in Canada with local context
  • Tools: You are familiar with one or more of these (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Canva, WordPress, Mailchimp, Webflow)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Donation Growth: Increase in the total dollar amount donated through the platform.
  • Donor Acquisition: Number of new donors who make their first gift.
  • Donor Retention: Percentage of return donors
  • Web visitors: Number of first-time visitors to our website
